St. Patrick's Day at the Bay!

March 17, 2018

We are about to shake off the Winter cold and raise a pint to a bountiful new season on South Bass Island. St. Patrick's Day at the Bay is a great time to catch a small glimpse of what island life is like throughout the Winter months. Much of the tourist traffic that Put-in-Bay is most known for has not yet began to journey over, so you will feel like you have the run of the island. Grab a hearty Reuben and icy cold beer from a local pub, and feel the luck of the Irish on Lake Erie's Emerald Isle, Put-in-Bay. As the old Irish limerick goes, "May St. Patrick guard you wherever you go, and guide you in whatever you do-- and may his loving protection be a blessing to you always." May he guide you to Put-in-Bay for St. Patricks's Day!

April 1, 2018

The time has come for the Put-in-Bay faithful to head to the rock. Our first wave of friends come from the West in search of the bounty of Lake Erie. The signs of a new season at Put-in-Bay can be seen when this wonderful group of people begin showing up. The quality of the fishing can be witnessed first hand when driving through the Island Club and seeing the sun glimmer off the fish scales beneath the cleaning station. Come to the Walleye Capital of the World in the waters surrounding Put-in-Bay. If you are planning to join us this season at PIB, we recommend that you research and book soon to avoid missing the dates you prefer.
